How it works
From first brief to final file.
We start with a brief: your interior palette, your brand, the feeling the room needs. Then I photograph on location to reflect the woodland around your building, framed for the wall it will fill.
Each image is shot and edited for the highest fidelity, composed to suit the size and flow of the space, and colour-matched by hand to your interior.
Print-ready files at the resolution large-format needs. I have delivered files for single-piece work over ten metres wide without upscaling, and work with your production team through to installation.

Made to hold at scale.
A mural this size is not a normal photograph scaled up. The hard part is not the size, it is the viewing distance. A wall a guest sits right beside has to hold every leaf and branch at arm's length, with no softening and no upscaling, where a large image seen only from across a room could get away with far less. That is a different job from making a beautiful photograph, and most images, including most stock, cannot do it.
The work is shot and built for scale from the first frame: photographed as high-resolution panoramas, edited to keep fine detail intact, and colour-managed so what leaves my screen is what arrives on your wall. When the file reaches your printer, it prints clean.
That is the quiet reason this is a commission and not a download. The image is engineered for the wall, not rescued for it.

I am a professional woodland and nature photographer based in Hertfordshire. I make calming, large-format woodland prints and feature-wall installations for commercial interiors, made to suit a space's tone and purpose.
My panoramas and commercial prints are installed in eco-lodges, wellness retreats, healthcare spaces and hospitality interiors across the UK. This includes work commissioned for every lodge across four Center Parcs villages, now rolling out across them, with a fifth in production. I work directly with interior designers, marketing teams and production partners, so the images do not only look right on the wall but change how the space feels to be in.

The things I am most often asked, before or during a first consultation.
Are these photographs real, or AI?
Yes, all of my images are real photographs of real woodland, shot on location, never AI-generated and never assembled from stock. The editing is done by hand. In my woodland portfolios and prints the image stays close to what the camera captured, with the light and detail shaped to bring out what was already there. Commissioned work often asks for more. A brief calls for a certain mood and light, and the shoot is planned around it, but British weather can change between the forecast and the shutter, so light is shaped, and at times enhanced, to deliver the feeling the brief asked for. Busy visitor sites bring their own challenge too: places like these are managed for safety, with fencing, lighting and signage, so part of the work is removing those additions to return the scene to the woodland beneath. The result is always a real place, finished by hand without distractions, to suit the wall it is made for.
What sizes can a forest or woodland mural be produced at?
Anything from a smaller framed print up to a full wall, ten metres wide and beyond. Width is rarely the real constraint, since a panorama can be extended at the edges as needed. The real test is resolution at viewing distance. A mural a guest sits right beside has to hold its detail at arm's length, which is why I work to 100dpi or more at final printed size, not the lower resolutions large prints often rely on. That is the difference between a wall that looks good from across the room and one that holds up when someone is sitting against it.
Is everything commissioned, or can I license an existing image?
Most murals are commissioned for the specific wall. Where a portfolio image suits, licensing may be possible; where it is not, I can shoot a new version of the same subject.
Can you match the colour to our interior?
Yes. Colour is matched by hand to your palette as part of the edit, so the mural sits with the room rather than against it.
Do you supply printing and installation?
I deliver print-ready files and work directly with your production team on scaling, colour and handover. I can recommend trusted print partners where you need them.
How long does it take from brief to delivery?
It depends on whether the image is commissioned or selected, and on the season, since the right light matters. I will give you a realistic timeline at the briefing stage.
Do you travel for commissions?
Yes. Site-specific work means photographing the woodland around your building or estate, wherever that is in the UK.
