I am a professional woodland and nature photographer based in Hertfordshire, making large-format forest and woodland photography for commercial interiors. I have worked with clients including Center Parcs and the NHS, delivering site-specific commissions and licensed images for hotels, wellness spaces and healthcare environments.
My images are shot in British woodland and built to work at scale: technically precise, high-resolution files made for large-format printing across a range of formats and room sizes. I work closely with designers and clients to match each image to the feeling a space needs, whether that is calm and restorative, grounded and earthy, or light and uplifting.

Are these photographs real, or AI?
Yes, all of my images are real photographs of real woodland, shot on location, never AI-generated and never assembled from stock. The editing is done by hand. In my woodland portfolios and prints the image stays close to what the camera captured, with the light and detail shaped to bring out what was already there. Commissioned work often asks for more. A brief calls for a certain mood and light, and the shoot is planned around it, but British weather can change between the forecast and the shutter, so light is shaped, and at times enhanced, to deliver the feeling the brief asked for. Busy visitor sites bring their own challenge too: places like these are managed for safety, with fencing, lighting and signage, so part of the work is removing those additions to return the scene to the woodland beneath. The result is always a real place, finished by hand without distractions, to suit the wall it is made for.
Can one image work across different room types?
Yes, though there is a craft to where you repeat and where you vary. A single high-resolution master can be cropped and formatted to suit different room types, which keeps a property coherent. Guest rooms are a good example: each guest only sees their own, so the same considered image can run across every bedroom without anyone noticing repetition. The public spaces are different. When one guest moves through reception, corridors and lounges in sequence, the same image on every wall starts to read as decoration rather than artwork, working against the very thing woodland imagery adds. There the stronger approach is a connected set, images sharing a mood and palette but varied across the spaces, so the property feels considered throughout. I help plan that balance as part of a commission.
Can you roll out across a multi-site group?
Yes. Site-specific work means each location can get an image that belongs there, installed consistently across many properties. This is exactly the kind of work behind the Center Parcs villages.
Do you create new images, or can we license existing ones?
Both. I create site-specific photography for a property, and license selected images from my own catalogue for commercial use where it suits. Where an image is not available, I can create a new version of the same or similar subject, depending on the permits required to display that image commercially.
How large can a forest mural be printed?
Anything from a framed guest-room print to a single-piece feature wall ten metres wide and beyond. Width is rarely the real limit, since a panorama can be extended at its edges as the wall needs. The real test is resolution at viewing distance. In a hotel a guest is often close to the wall, sitting beside a lounge mural or lying in bed looking at a bedroom print, so the image has to hold its detail at arm's length, not just from across the room. That is why I work to 100dpi or more at the final printed size, rather than the lower resolutions large prints often rely on.
Do you supply printing and installation?
I deliver print-ready files and work directly with your production team on scaling, colour and handover, and can recommend trusted print partners where you need them.
How long does it take from brief to delivery?
It depends on whether the image is commissioned or selected, and on the season, since the right light matters. I will give you a realistic timeline at the briefing stage.
Do you travel for commissions?
Yes. Site-specific work means photographing woodland that suits the property and its setting, wherever that is in the UK.
