Tailored Woodland Photography Workshops for All Levels
Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced photographer, this 8-hour full-day workshop is designed to expand your skills. I'll guide you to prime locations, sharing insights on composition, lighting, and post-processing techniques. The extended time allows us to explore diverse conditions and themes, diving deeper into woodland photography.
Bring your essential gear, including a camera with aperture/manual mode and a tripod (loan available). We'll traverse moderate terrains, so dress appropriately for the weather. Your experience is enhanced by two native British trees planted in the UK for every workshop booking. Bring a friend or partner for a 2-to-1 experience.
Current Locations: Ashridge Forest, Broxbourne Woods NNR, Burnham Beeches, Panshanger Park, Epping Forest, Hainault Forest, Sharpenhoe Clappers, and Northaw Great Wood.
By booking a full-day 1-2-1 woodland photography workshop, you'll contribute to planting two native British trees, helping preserve the natural beauty we capture together.
Frequently Asked Questions
What skill level is required for the workshop?
The workshops are tailored to all levels, whether you’re a beginner or an experienced photographer.
What equipment do I need to bring?
A camera with aperture/manual mode, a tripod, appropriate footwear and clothing that will keep you warm and/or dry in the event of rain or snow. A tripod can be provided if needed – I’ll provide a recommended list of equipment once you’ve made your booking.
What happens if it rains?
The workshop will continue in the rain, as this will often present great conditions for woodland photography. However, if there are high winds (i.e. a named storm), we will have to reschedule the workshop for another date for safety reasons as branches can drop without warning.
Is transportation provided to the workshop locations?
If you are arriving by train, I can pick you up from the nearest station on the way to the location and provide all travel during the workshop if we need to change location. Do ensure that your train arrives in time for us to be on location 45 minutes before sunrise.
Can I reschedule if something comes up?
I schedule workshops around my commercial photography work and have limited availability each month. However, I understand that unforeseen events happen. If you need to reschedule, please provide as much notice as possible, preferably by phone. Please note that no-shows and cancellations made within 7 days of the workshop date are non-refundable.
