Woodland photographer, writer and teacher · Hertfordshire
See the forest differently.
Woodland photography workshops for people who want to slow down and make better images, and large-format forest artwork for spaces that need calm.
Start on your doorstep
You don't need far-flung landscapes to make powerful images.
The quietest scenes are sometimes the most powerful.
I've spent years photographing my local woods. Failing often, learning slowly, and discovering that meaningful images come from attention, not airline tickets.
Now I teach others to do the same, through 1-to-1 workshops, editing support and practical guidance. And I create forest artwork on commission for brands like Center Parcs and the NHS, bringing that same calm into hospitality, wellness and healthcare spaces.

Two paths into the woods
Work with me.
Whether you're behind the camera or specifying a space, the starting point is the same: the steadying effect of time among trees.

Images from my local woodlands
A few favourite images.
Each photo is a moment of presence. A kind of meditation in itself.
From the essays
The Jar.
The jar exists because you keep showing up, to the same locations, in the same rain, in the same early morning light that nobody else thought was worth getting out of bed for. The body of work is what the jar becomes, eventually, when you tip it out and look at what's there.
In their own words
What my customers say.
"Honestly the best photography experience I've had. I walked away with photos I'm incredibly proud of, and I've never felt more confident with my camera."
Ben E · Workshop
"Tim opened my eyes to so many new techniques. My photos have never looked this good."
Emily D · Editing Session
"The unique mounting technique is a real showstopper, making it feel more like an installation than a traditional print."
